Need window treatment for sliding door.

Master bedroom. I need privacy window treatment for the sliding doors. I would like to keep the blinds on the windows because I can open/close them for the view, but believe I need some side drapes depending on what I end up with on the door. What would you recommend for both locations and at what height.

Comments (6)I will include the picture once I collect the keys to the apartment. The apartment is 1400 sq ft. and it is located on the 16 th floor. The living room and the balcony floor is at the same level. The French doors, which I intend to remove, separate and protect the living room from the open balcony. But the current owner had installed aluminum casement windows at the balcony. These windows I think will provide sufficient protection from the elements, hence the idea of doing away with the French doors. The authority would not allow us to remove the three feet high concrete wall of the balcony. Comments (8)Hi Dagobert Duck (interesting name), I am assuming that this is a townhouse in Asia, as you mention the dry kitchen and wet kitchen (terms used mostly in Singapore) and also from the visible lift on the plan that you shared. I would definitly advice you to keep the dry kitchen and place the dining table close to the dry kitchen or close to the bay window on the left. The space here is rather large and can easily accommodate a regular 2 metre table with 8 chairs. If you are concerned about the view of dining table as you enter the house, you could always place a round table near the entrance to block off the view. I agree with Elaine about placing the furniture away from walls. Place a bunch of fresh flowers or art/sculpture above the round table like in a hotel entrance. So the the first view you see when you enter the house is the table with flowers. Its difficult to give you any further advice as we have no idea what your final vision of the place is? 10 years agoI wanted something different than vertical blinds on the sliding glass door to our patio. I spray painted 1" PVC plumbing pipe to make the curtain rods and then hung grommet curtains from JCPenney's on them. They are easy open/easy close and provide privacy at night as we live in a subdivision with neighbors directly behind us. The curtains also reduce the echo in the room as we live in a ranch and have a great room with vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors.
