This is a natural slate tile that was acquired from Mosaic Home Interiors in Rockville, MD. Natural stone will vary in color and texture based on when and where is was sourced. Hope this helps and thank you for the question!

What is the space behind your shower currently? Is it closet or exterior? Is it possible to absorb that space into your shower for a bench or just to simply enlarge it? For your doors. Your shower door will need to swing out, or you can do a shower with only an opening and no door. Have you considered a "Neo-angle" shape instead of a rectangle for the shower to help the traffic flow too? The door closest to I should be the pocket/sliding door. I have a recess built into the walls which is great, but not helpful in this situation. We will always default to the easiest method when it comes to daily tasks and the caddie is probably the best solution it you are renting and not allowed to drill the tiles, but it is not as easy to put things in a caddie as it is a shelf. If you can drill the tiles, a shelf will be easier. Be as minimalist as possible with stuff on it as well. There are plenty of other options in cushion storage from storage shops too. Good luck.
