Need help in designing Foyer Area
Comments (28)Hi Few points: 1. It's not an independent residential apartment. It is a flat in a 25storey block 2. I have attached the floor plan for reference. The entrance is not too huge. 3. It's good to know that you guys have liked the Bathroom & kitchen design. The tiling work is in progress and it has come out well. I will take few snaps and post 4. When I say resort look - I understand and mean a simplistic natural looking design. More towards wood, nature, green, matt finish etc... Hope i am not confusing anyone here 5. Do you think the bathroom & kitchen design gels with what I mean by resort look. 6. The foyer area is a small (not too big) entrance. It's like a passage as you can see in the pics I posted earlier. When you enter you don't see the entire living room rather you see the wall (kitchen wall), where we intend to keep our dining table. Some thoughts on designing that wall is also requested Thanks!...See MoreAnyone ever tried painting upholstery? Color suggestions for bedding
Comments (11)I opened my earlier post to edit the paint name in case you ever want to paint non-tufted, no-nap fabric. Unfortunately, my cat Linguine loves the binging and bonging sounds of the computer when he stands on the keyboard. Not helpful. It disappeared so... here is the name: Simply Spray Fabric Paint for Upholstery. (They have your charcoal gray) It did not make the fabric crunchy, stiff or weird. Nobody wants crunchy, stiff, or weird :-) Again, I would not paint the fabric on your gorgeous bed but I would change the wood color. The black edge and empty white room are the reasons it looks heavy. If you paint the black, I would suggest using an artist brush on the edge that meets the fabric even with fabric covered. House or painter's brushes are too wide for good control in that tight space. They are not as flexible as artists brushes nor as small. The Paris bed I mentioned was gray velvet and soft matte metallic gold wood. Soft, romantic, dreamy and transporting to a world of Princesses and Kings. If you keep the purple, I vote for gold or silver wood but NOT high gloss....See MoreSuggestions please for modern chairs that go well with French designs.
Comments (3)Are you using the headboard for a bed or something else? How about the rest of the room? Do you have a style already? Or going somewhere? Womb chairs are great (I like how most of them sit too), but my opinion is you could make a Klippan look good with it, with the right setting. If it's the same color/fabric or the same shapes or the same structure (wood frame around it), you can go anywhere with the type of seating. Some more ideas:...See Moresuggestions please!
Comments (1)Hi. Have you ever considered a real interesting eye catching piece of art work to really brighten up an area, I think a select piece of art would really make the space stand out, add interest, colour, texture and add a great talking point to the room.... Please check out my website if you like the idea and please get in contact, commission work is also welcomed so if you like a particular style I can do in a select colour palette and size as an original piece…..I’m also able to produce all original paintings in high end print format, in any size same or smaller than the original. (all within proportions to the original so not to cause distortion) All prints shown are Giclee prints onto soft textured fine art media. All prints come with a white border these can be made to measure too. So lots of options, www,guigsart.co.uk...See Morekandrewspa
