Stairway / Hall window help

Hi! What would you do here? The window is high up so curtains wouldn’t reach the floor obviously? But a blind feels weird too. Just no idea what people would do to make this a bit more stylish! Thanks x

What about a roman blind in a very bright patterned fabric? You could match it to the artwork, the top one. I would also consider more art on the opposite wall. It looks a bit narrow so no shelves. That said Ikea does have those narrow picture ledge shelves so you could have a changing gallery of pics, art etc.

We have supplied blinds for windows on stairs like yours. Please have a look at the photos below. Obviously you can choose different colours for the fabrics is you like. We can make extra long control chains for you to raise/lower the blind or you could opt for a motorised blind which can be controlled by a handset.

I like large, abstract, colorful art placed at the top of stairs above narrow windows. https://www.houzz.com/photos/94th-street-townhouse-modern-staircase-new-york-phvw-vp~1326739 I like a small terrace to look good from the inside. Not too much furniture. Not too many plants to care for. A small round, wrought iron table + 2 chairs. A large urn in the center of the table with or without a hardy plant will be fine.

Talk to a professional. I think there are building codes for steps. A 4" step might be too short and cause people to lose balance & trip. Can you install a longer window? A longer window with seats to enjoy the view? Binoculars on a tripod to encourage viewing or stargazing with comfy chairs, too?

Hi Amuro Elaine, Are you working with an interior designer to renovate your home? You'll probably be asked a few questions such as: How many people will live here? Is the bedroom wall a structural, load-bearing wall? Do you intend to entertain? But what an interesting space you have, and especially if you are living alone, there's so much potential to transforming it into your own pretty pad! If I were you, I would swap the living space with the bedroom, that means hacking the bedroom wall open, and then erecting a wall from that point where your kitchen wall ends. Have the wall in glass, with sliding glass doors, so that you can open it up when you have guests over. I agree Roman Blinds would look lovely. They are the dressier end of blind ranges. A pattern would look best. Here’s some ideas, but there are a huge range of fabrics.

i bought macrame as souvenir from bali my mother used it as curtain for her house, her house just like you it has two stacked window on top of each other, so saving the fee and time on two window she said
