Bridge Street Residence in New Hope, PA

We were very excited to be able to design spaces in this older home in New Hope, PA. The client was very open about giving us freedom & creativity to come up with some different ideas. Older homes can have challenges, such as keeping the design consistent with the style of the home, dealing with constraints such as lower ceiling heights and oddly shaped rooms.

We designed the kids bathrooms so that as they get older, they wouldn't outgrow the style. In the boys bath and the master, we designed the lighting to be mounted directly on the mirror. This makes sure that there is plenty of bright light at the vanity area. We were also able to use unique and fun elements, such as the patterned wallpaper & crystal vessel sink to create a dramatic powder room.
The master bath was the most difficult layout to work with. We completely reconfigured it from the original small, oddly laid out room. We moved the door location so that it opened up into the master bedroom instead of into the hallway outside of the bedroom. There was also a small enclosed porch off of the bathroom so we opened it up and expanded the room size considerably. Since there are no windows in this room, a skylight was installed to bring in natural light.

In the mudroom, lockers were custom designed to give each of the 3 kids their own spot for shoes, school bags, sports equipment, etc.

No home is too challenging for us. In fact, the results we can achieve by embracing those challenges are some of the most rewarding.
