The goal of this Washington Crossing, PA kitchen was to open up the first floor spaces. We were able to achieve this by taking down a wall that divided the kitchen and living room. By designing a raised peninsula with storage at the end, we ended up with a transition into the living room instead of a division. A previously unused fireplace between the eating nook and the family room was removed and a bar area for entertaining was put in its place.
