Spawning salmon was the concept The Singapore Alumni Centre and the NUS Society adopted to signify the return of the graduates to their Alma Mater.

To illustrate the concept we provided a stream with koi. Since in reality it is bringing the 2 societies together in the pursuit of providing a setting for the returning alumni, the landscaping is then designed where interests from both sides are reflected. One of which is the provision of an outdoor stadium for common congregation. Greenery bedecks every corner of this big open space. To represent everyone, sculptures made by the hands of the students from the different departments were exhibited.

PDAA aimed to use as much indigenous plant materials as possible to blend in well with the “homecoming” concept. There are thick creepers to soften walls, staircases and retaining walls. The change of levels made the landscape interesting.
