Reply to: Yes, our contractor had it fixed. His subcontractor (stained/painter) did have to come back a few times to finally get it right. I showed him the formula I posted and pictures of how it was supposed to look.

Reply to: This is what we ended up with after many many trial and error on our white oak quarter sawn island and hood. We initially assumed we would use a natural clear finish, but samples all went very yellow. After almost giving up, our cabinet guy tried white stain by none other than- Minwax-and we think it got pretty close to what we wanted! Good luck and hope these pictures help a little—don’t get discouraged!! :)

Reply to: Hi All! I'm having the opposite problem. I have Snowbound on all my walls, and the baseboards and ceiling is in SW High Reflective White. Problem is my Snowbound looks like it has a yellowish (or maybe green undertone) undertone to me. Basically it looks beige to me, and doesn't look like the beautiful modern color I thought it would look like. Is it my lighting? I put in brand new LED pot lights using warm white (the other white light is too clinical). Or is it my wood floors (brown with grayish hints)? not sure what to do ... wasn't envisioning a beige house. Should I repaint with Behr pure white?

Reply to: If you put down 3/4" thick porcelain pavers over the flooring (supported by rubber pads on each corner so the membrane doesn't get damaged) not only would you get a gorgeous floor, but you could put heavier furniture on the rooftop without worrying about damage to the surface. A couple of colors of pavers are shown below as an example.
