Meditch Murphey Architects SaveEmail A passion vine (Passiflora sp) climbs from the basement level to the top of the house, growing on a metal net called a Webnet on a perforated metal staircase. The ceiling at the top of the house is covered in glass to give the vine enough sunlight to grow and bringing natural light down into the core of the house.
The wood is either redwood or wild cherry, and was purchased at Arborica in Marshall, California. The cabinets were custom made of MDF and finished with a catalytic conversion varnish.
