One Light, 10 Homes: The Edgy Dear Ingo Chandelier
This contemporary ceiling-mounted, multiple-armed lamp is an ode to a lighting icon
Israeli industrial designer Ron Gilad is a big name in the industry now, but when he was just beginning, he looked to a bigger name. His first studio was located above the New York shop of the iconic Ingo Maurer, the German lighting designer known for his playful, contemporary versions of the chandelier. Gilad designed the Dear Ingo chandelier for Moooi as an homage to Maurer, drawing from the lighting designer’s use of mixed materials in his work. The result is this edgy, versatile and statement-making light.
