This unique spa only project was built against a pre existing fountain and displays clean lines and wire cut shotcrete to allow for precise placement of six inch tiles throughout. The Asian influence precluded the use of traditional spa jets as the turbulence created may 'upset' the zen effect of the tranquil hot water. If one looks very carefully it is observable that the spa water constantly overflows beyond a wide tiled border into a surge tank hidden under the structure. This effect adds an interesting visual perspective. A Japanese Sago Palm and Bamboo finish off the pagoda and day bed area adjacent.
