Madison Modern Home
We found the B&W medallion curtains at Target. Their smaller scale pattern is a great foil to the bolder rug. A round glass top coffee table lets the rug shine through and the modern legs on the sofa and vintage side table make the room appear larger. We were thrilled to find a matching pair of vintage lamps with the plastic still on the shades (!) and vintage framed watercolors.
The Made in L.A. poster is hung from metal clamps and the accompanying art is vintage. We love the ram’s head basket in the center of the table, set with light cyan bowls and vintage yellow and white plates. Simple white sheers let the light in.

Waterton Townhomes
This project consists of 6 x 3 bedroom townhomes in the Brisbane suburb of Annerley.
Full advantage was taken of the existing falls across the width of the site, to obtain eastern mountain views over the roof of an existing neighboring block of flats, whilst not compromising privacy or amenity to either townhouse residents or neighbours.
A multiple split level design was conceived, 6 levels in total, in order to provide access to courtyards along the higher western edge of the site, and to position the living areas, and large balconies, at a level that is higher than the roof ridge of the neighboring flats. A loft bedroom, located at the highest level, perches over the living room and looks through this double height space, to also be afforded a view.
A timber stair and vertical batten balustrade binds the split levels vertically and providing a spine and connectivity for the various levels.

This vignette's concept is inspired by old Hollywood glamour meets global style. We love to create a mix of both masculine and feminine attributes in our design; everyone feels comfortable that way. We started with the dreamy off-white linen sheer drapery and walls and brought in our favorite striped contemporary wing chair; it is a strong balance to the horizontal ribbing on the Art Deco inspired chest. The silver leaf screen shimmers, and the Moroccan table adds a sculptural quality. We completed the space with a sophisticated and interesting cowhide stool. Photo by Beth Singer.
