Kids Place
A family with two young kids had a large unfinished basement and thought it would be a wonderful idea to finish it off so the kids had a place to go when the weather was bad. They could ride bikes, read, play with board games and generally have fun! The idea was to design and decorate it so as the kids got older it would still fit their needs and be gender neutral.
The first thing they picked out was the striped rug. It has a lot of colors in it and they decided to go with a grey color for wainscot and orange for interior book cases. The cushions and pillows were pulled from the other colors in the rug. Drawers under the day beds hold lots of toys and games.
