Rhodes Architecture + Light

The Magnolia Boulevard Residence is a 3,200 square foot house located on a triangular site in a northwest Seattle neighborhood. The house was designed and built for a master builder and his family and includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a large family room which opens onto a private southern courtyard and koi pond. The house is expressed in mahogany, limestone exterior panels and tile, Venetian plaster, and stone medallions. The heart of this house is a two-story central atrium flooded with natural light from a large central skylight; the atrium connects all parts of the house and is spanned by a bridge at the second level. The Magnolia Boulevard Residence was built in 2002, selected as an AIA/ Seattle Times Home of the Month in 2003 and published in Pacific Northwest Magazine .
