Kayron Brewer, CMKBD / Studio K BCommand Central: This room is the renovated home office that was once a small guest room. It is right off the kitchen on the main floor, so it made a great location for the family home office. The cabinetry is the same style and color as the kitchen so one room flows nicely with the next. The countertop is a warm grey limestone with shells and fossils appearing in the stone. The wall behind the desk and in between the wall cabinets is covered with a tack board that is then covered with a burlap material. The deep drawers to the left make a perfect location for long rolls of wrapping paper.

CustomMade.comThis custom library was designed for a lucky New Jersey area physician. The rich mahogany and traditional paneling give it an old world feel, but it's no dark, dusty study. Special custom hoods were created for the arched windows, as the light becomes a key feature of the room, and a panel and fluted pilasters were built to frame the window on the room end. Custom bookcases maximize wall space in the room and paneled heater covers conceal the hot water heating units. The entry to this office is from the covered porch and from the main house. This allows for clients to come to meetings without having to enter from the house.

The bottom of the cabinetry houses units to an updated sound system. The desk is hand painted and is placed between the fireplace and the french doors which overlook the backyard. An antique Sarapi Heriz carpet is made from camel hair. The sofa and tables were purchased through Interiors By Design, NJ.
