Whole House Remodel

The completed living room. We reused the existing prefab fireplace, but raised the floor to make it more rectangular and allow for a taller hearth. We also upgraded the chimney flue to meet current building codes. The fireplace insert is a natural-gas-fired Linear Burner System from Spark Fires. The upper portion of the fireplace wall is covered with split-faced Texas limestone in a "pewter" color, and the hearth is clad with the same product but in a honed finish. The center portion flanking the firebox is tiled with Ann Sacks "Yakisugi" pattern tile. The beautiful built-in cabinetry seen here was hand-crafted by Leon Wosika of Artisan Concepts LLC.
