Comments (8)One more question: If I use white shutters, does that mean I have to also have white doors inside the house? Should the internal doors match the window frames or the shutters? There will be a slide and fold door between the living room and an ante-room, which will be of glass with upvc frames; my furniture in my living room have dark brown cane frames, and I have a black antique Chinese lacquer screen, on which are various colours of jade pieces, and a large opium bed of dark mahogany, and also a black grand piano, and the floor is a honey brown Thai Teak on which would go a couple of Persian rugs....See MoreLooking for options of non glass windows allowing good air flow

Comments (7)What a great room! If you enjoy the general Monochromatic feel of your room I'd go with white or silver (see 'option2' photo) and let your accent pillows do the accenting! The blue hue on the wall actually simplifies your color options. Either pull that color in through a patterned application as mentioned above (see 'option1' photo) or just stick to silver/white. Comments (10)you painted that? it's stunning! you can do a lot with just a rug. I have 2 toddlers 2.5 yrs old and 19 months old. and I used a low pile indoor/outdoor rug from Walmart. it was like 40$ for a 5x8. it was soooooo easy to clean even when it was blackberry stains! if you really don't want a to buy a rug there are a ton of DIY area rugs on pintrest where you take a cloth and tape it to a non slip pad, then toss it in the wash! brilliant right? you can definitely use 2 big pillows, the have a mustardy/yellow one at ikea (you can wash the covers and switch them too) and maybe a couple small accent pillows. but LOVING the painting...and I wish it was mine..K bye lol! :)...See MoreCustom Home Planning Center
