Barrier free shower

Hi, I would like to achieve the same barrier free shower results. My concern is that the entire room needs to slope towards the drain. I would also like to have a long drain against the largest wall in my 30"x 59" shower. Please let me know how you achieved this result. Thanks.

Happy to help. The shower pan is sloped to the drain. The floor is always level. We install the glass enclosure after all plumbing and tile work is done. Good luck with your project.

eermei, I've never seen a set of accordion doors that didn't have a bottom track. Could you post pictures of the ones you have seen so I can do some research and become more informed? I guess for an interior only door that it would be possible, but the bottom track is part of the security and weather tightness of an exterior door?

I have a recess built into the walls which is great, but not helpful in this situation. We will always default to the easiest method when it comes to daily tasks and the caddie is probably the best solution it you are renting and not allowed to drill the tiles, but it is not as easy to put things in a caddie as it is a shelf. If you can drill the tiles, a shelf will be easier. Be as minimalist as possible with stuff on it as well. There are plenty of other options in cushion storage from storage shops too. Good luck.

Hi Rachel, Make a paste of white distilled vinegar and some bi carb soda. Into a deep bowl, add one cup vinegar and slowly stir about a table spoon of bi carb. Add a little of the bi carb as possible into a deeb bowl. The reaction of the two will cause the mixture to foam and thats the reason for the deep bowl. Once the foam settles, apply this paste on to the area concerned and let it sit for an hour or so at least. Use some elbow grease and scrub a little and wash away with clean water. Vinegar is a mild acid which can kill 82% of mold species. (Baking soda is often used along with vinegar for killing different species of mold.) Its natural and as organic as it gets. The smell of vinegar will linger for a while and is normal. Make sure the shower is well ventilated. Hope it helps?
