Unfortunately this is a custom stair railing, though there are many stair kits for purchase. You may want to look companies such as Feeney Design Rail to put together a very similar look. Thank you for your interest in our project!

Could you tell me a bit more about your wall panels? What type of wood. Was it a veneer on what type of wood? and the grove detail and installation. Thank you

Hello Cody, If the TV isn't going on the mantle wall than the only other available wall is the 13'5" wall. You might think about moving the TV to this wall and balancing it with art or plants. Your sofa can be turned with its back to the entrance/stairs and a small console table can be placed behind it to act as a visual stop. Your chair can be placed where the sofa currently sits or you could add a pair of new chairs to this area near the stair alcove which would create a smaller seating cluster there. Small benches could be placed in front of the fire for additional seating, when and if necessary. This one is a challenge, but if you don't mind the TV as focal point and the sofa perpendicular to the fireplace, this could work. You should replace them with vertical pickets or glass, and as soon as possible. What you have now is completely unsafe for children. If any opening is bigger than 4" it's dangerous when they're crawling. Their body can fit through, but not their head, they can hang themselves. Plus the horizontal rails are far too easy to climb once they're walking, nothing you add to what's there can fix that. Sorry to be graphic, but it's important.

I am not sure removing it is a good idea as for people who are not good with climbing stairs, the railing provides great support. Safer too. Perhaps you can wind it with jute string or something to give it a bit of a woody feel. If you have children, you can hang their art pieces off the hinges to showcase their art and it’s accessible to them. Stairwell then becomes a mini gallery.
