Dark living room

High cathedral ceilings, few windows. Are skylights and recessed lighting a good option or just lighting? Just had a new roof put on.

The question with skylights is when will they start leaking, not if they will leak. Create a lighting plan for the room.

Hi Jackiecicora, it depends on which direction the room faces, how large the room is, what you use the room for, where you live, and if there are any trees or other obstacles in the way. Can you provide any more information?

Kitchen and dinning area could be smaller. The laundry ideally should be easily accessed, preferably close to the kitchen. Will the carport be parked with a vehicle for the majority of time? If so it might not be ideal to have the living room looking at the carport that is covered without much daylight.

have the sofa and dining table in the center. Dining table against the back of the sofa either the longer or shorter side. Can shift table to accomodate more people. Extendable table prefered. Push the table and sofa nearer to window to have more walking space. You can have a storage / shoe cabinet against the bomb shelter wall.

Hi all, Would like some suggestions regarding the wall colour on either side of the white panel. ( brown wall in the picture ) I have high ceilings and get a great amount of light. Was thinking should I go dark with deep navy, but not sure. Or should I stick to safe colours? Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you!
