Comments (19)I very much agree with what Beverly said regarding adding shutters to your home. You don't have the space on either side of the windows to accommodate appropriately sized shutters. Awnings would definitely be an option. Since you're in the Caribbean, you can add color by using a brightly striped awning. One shutter option that you could consider would be a Bahama Shutter. Since they mount at the top of the windows, you wouldn't have any problem adding them if you like....See Morebig trench on my balcony

You could either plant in there and give yourself some privacy from prying eyes or you could install decking to the area and have more space for your furniture layout.
