Need help in designing Foyer Area
Comments (28)Hi Few points: 1. It's not an independent residential apartment. It is a flat in a 25storey block 2. I have attached the floor plan for reference. The entrance is not too huge. 3. It's good to know that you guys have liked the Bathroom & kitchen design. The tiling work is in progress and it has come out well. I will take few snaps and post 4. When I say resort look - I understand and mean a simplistic natural looking design. More towards wood, nature, green, matt finish etc... Hope i am not confusing anyone here 5. Do you think the bathroom & kitchen design gels with what I mean by resort look. 6. The foyer area is a small (not too big) entrance. It's like a passage as you can see in the pics I posted earlier. When you enter you don't see the entire living room rather you see the wall (kitchen wall), where we intend to keep our dining table. Some thoughts on designing that wall is also requested Thanks!...See MoreWalk In wardrobe design
Comments (5)My walk-in is slightly longer (1.60x3.60m) - I only have the design with measurements on paper, but I could look for it this evening, scan it and post it for you if you want. In the meanwhile, have a look at the photos of the finished room. We took advantage of the height and got pull down rails; also, a big shelf above the door and narrow shelves on the side. I wouldn't get a radiator in there, or at least not a classic one - have a look at some towel warmers - their output is normally good enough for a room that size, plus you can use it to hang stuff on it: http://www.nevellidesignerradiators.co.uk/Elvina-Designer-Chrome-Towel-Radiator---Reina/232.htm Lighting, I think the best are directional track lights, e.g: http://www.wayfair.co.uk/Track-Lighting-C1802193.html?itemsperpage=96&sortby=6&curpage=1 Otherwise, just search 'compact walk-ins' in Houzz phots. Hope this helps....See MoreWorking on Master Bedroom & Lounge
Comments (3)No lah, it's important your hubby has his own relaxation area just like you'd have your lounge area. :) Sometimes we need to have our own spaces. Does your hubby not want the entertainment system to be in the living room? If you're worried about the sight of electronics marring your decor, your ID should be able to come up with clever spaces/tricks to store consoles and hide wires. Here's the arrangement in my home: our tv, soundbar, subwoofer and PS4 are in the living room. Having them in the living room comes in useful for guests if we all want to watch a movie, or if they sometimes want to have a go at the PS4 (I sometimes play too!). In our bedroom, we have a Wi-Fi speaker (that integrates with the sound system in the living room) and a PC with a huge desktop monitor for my hubby's PC games or general computer usage. But all the appliances are not an eyesore at all because they're sleek and my hubby is very neat when it comes to cable management. Anyway, think about your routine and imagine yourselves using the spaces you want to create to get a better idea of how to create them. :)...See Moreneed to pick some brains
Comments (2)Hi, Yes that plan can be better. Bedroom too small, kitchen too big, walk-in better if more open, add foyer. Some alignment issues doesn’t feel right. here’s a phone sketch just to give you an idea hope this helps...See More- 7 years ago
