The fence, SO COOL!

So where do I start looking for where to get a fence/ gate like this? I have been looking for fences like this, but the only options seem to be the aluminum sort of light weight traditional fencing. Do I look for a blacksmith?! I have no idea. :) Is this aluminum? I am asking b/c the paint seems to always chip off any aging aluminum type metal I've seen. Thanks for your thoughts. It's really great.

I am so sorry that I took so long getting back to you. I just saw you question from March 2017.

The fencing is iron. It is also galvanized and powder coated. The fence is a custom design from our office and built by a Cincinnati based ironsmith.

The gate design is represents personal aspects of the clients life. It is an appropriate fixture to the entrance of the children's garden.

Artificial turf! The green (they come in different colours, too, if you'd like to be psychedelic) adds a lively pop of colour to a blah space, and they're designed in easy-to-install tile-style units that have some built-in drainage for minimal maintenance. Absolut Outdoors and Green Turf can tell you more :) And I'd hang an outdoor art piece or a screen for air plants on that blank wall, too, to enliven your balcony.

Hi Olivia, There are some tips [here[(https://www.houzz.com.sg/magazine/12-ways-to-keep-cool-at-home-without-air-conditioning-stsetivw-vs~69592701). My own tip: switch the aircon on for a while before you're about to sleep so it feels shiok when you get into bed. Have the aircon on timer so it switches off in about an hour (or however long you may need it), and have the fan on for the rest of the night, circulating the residual cool air. See how this works for you?
