Hi. Thank you for contacting me. The fabric for the shades is a Dupioni silk fabric and the fabric for the drapes is an embroidery silk fabric that has unfortunately been discontinued.

Thank you so much. I am thinking for a fabric for the shades that will fall into place nicely after being lowered and then raised again. What would be best for that? I haven't looked at fabrics for a long time, but the embroidery silk is most unique and very beautiful. I love the room.

I have to say that well made Roman Shades are not cheap, they are the higher end of the market. Secondly the thing to consider is that they are an all or nothing product, they are either open or closed. What part of the country do you live in? What direction do the windows face, and how often are those doors used? Drapery that can not be moved completely out of the way will get caught in the doors all the time, so while I hate taking out a window for any reason, removing it might make sense as it seems rather redundant. Don't do any type of venetian if this door is used a lot, and if you do, make sure you do an outside mount, allowing for the stack to go above the frame of the doors when they are open. I suggest that you look into Hunter Douglas Polysatin Shutters, they are great on french doors, and the Hunter Douglas Duette Architella Vertiglide is perfect on doors, they also come as a duo light, meaning you can put two blinds into one product - so a sheer and an opaque or semi-opaque product. Just some thoughts to consider.

You already have your accent colour as your sofa pillows (log roll pillows). I would take one of them shopping with me to get a rug that has that colour in it. It doesn't need to be a lot of that colour (I love the idea of burgandy rug here...but it might be too much with your monotone scheme). You can find a large rug that incorporates that red/raspberry in it so that you have a colour that is now your accent.

Hi. It's looking really good and you've done well with the bookshelves! ! I love the new sofa! I would say just a tad more yellow if your husband can bear it, doesn't have to be solid yellow. I'd add something else on the left shelves (I'd move one shelf of photos to the right hand shelving and swap for some books), maybe a ginger jar if you can get an old one. Maybe a patterned throw or cushion for your wooden chair and a small yellow throw for the bench just draped over the corner. Table idea sounds great. Are you happy with it? I think it's made such a big difference

I have another question. How does one find a workroom in the Birmingham area? Also, the triple window has strong sun that shines through in the morning - how can I protect my shade and drapes? Thank you for your help.

Hi... I would look on Houzz for window treatment companies in the Birmingham area. You should always line and interlined your window treatments except if the fabric is a sheer. This will help with sun protection. Thank you.
