Hi there! Unfortunately the paint color was existing, but if you like it I would try a warm grey, like Benjamin Moore's Abalone or Silver Fox. Good luck!

One refinement on the all white solution: get three distinct whites for walls, ceiling, and trim. While you are considering marine-gloss magenta for the dining room, you will feel less as though you are a prisoner in a stark white box. Benjamin Moore has some lovely, non-stark whites and off whites in their classic whites group. Their historical collection is particularly soothing, including: Concord Ivory Monterey White greys Edgecomb Gray Wickham Gray (very pale) Stonington Gray (a little darker) Revere Pewter (warm) Coventry Gray (neutral) pale yellows Windham Cream Hepplewhite Ivory and plenty of interesting beiges.

I would definitely consider an off white colour as this will be a safe, and probably more attractive option with the colours your stated on your bed. However the sheen may not go well with the green and white laminate, if the chandelier go well with the decor of the room then I think going for a sheen finish could easily finish off the room! However if not it could really make your room have two contrasting style schemes. Off white would also look good, but if you like a bit a glam, then a sheen finish is a fantastic option! What other stuff do you have in your room? Is it possible to upload a picture as many 'minds' can make light work lol. We cannot really comment on adding things to brighten it up but I am sure there are designers on Houzz that can help. :)

Thks lots, I actually was thinking along the lines both of you recommended, esp silver and navy blue or white and olive green. I decided not to go for the first option as my room doesn't get much sunlight, although I love the cool feeling, but my husband prefers warmer and brighter colors. Unfortunately they didn't have olive green in plain material so I chose beige plain background with strong green for the top, will attach a pic when the curtain is done, the before and after pic

Hi Gioenne! If you're worried about committing to a strong colour for your entire living room, might we suggesting getting some bold coloured cushions with a neutral sofa set instead? It is much more affordable/ easy to decorate around! Plus if you get bored with the colour it is easy to buy new ones and change the entire aesthetic of a room!
