Need help for my stairway and small upper floor terrace
Comments (1)I like large, abstract, colorful art placed at the top of stairs above narrow windows. https://www.houzz.com/photos/94th-street-townhouse-modern-staircase-new-york-phvw-vp~1326739 I like a small terrace to look good from the inside. Not too much furniture. Not too many plants to care for. A small round, wrought iron table + 2 chairs. A large urn in the center of the table with or without a hardy plant will be fine....See MoreUrgent-Need help for dining table and sofa selection
Comments (1)Go with the leather that is a shade lighter that the floors. Otherwise it could get lost in blur of grey. Use accent colors in the lamp shades, wall art and throws. I also like the white table better. The metal table is more industrial. Than the style you are going for....See MoreExpat needing help with rug selection!!
Comments (5)A small place will read better if done in sophisticated neutrals, I think. No rug in DR. A neutral rug in LR. Pull slightly more vibrant neutral colors from the neutral LR rug as they have done here....See MoreNeed help for guest/study room
Comments (2)Hi 4eva zx, If you're only occasionally using the guest/study room as a place for a guest to sleep, then you should prioritise being able to use it as your home office. That said, you'd be better off having a more comfortable and convenient desk, rather than one where you'd have to climb up and down a platform, and possibly roll off it if you're using an ergonomic chair. A short-term guest would be well-served by a single-sized sofa bed, which you can also enjoy as a reading lounge when there is no guest. The broken lines indicate the sofa bed when unfolded – not ideal as it would block access to the wardrobe, but it shouldn't be an issue for occasional use. The best use of this room would be for you to enjoy it as much as possible. You could even install some overhead bookshelves in the corner above where you planned to put the desktop. Alternatively, you might even want to try a convertible desk-bed such as this: Hope this helps!...See MoreMilcasa
