UGH im going through the same thing. My household consists of 2 cats (one is a kitten who is hyper 24/7) a husband who plops down on everything, and eats anything he can while sitting on the sofa, a 60 lb german shepherd standard poodle mix that sheds like no other, and a 4 year old who spills, draws, puts make up on anything in sight! We are switching to leather. Its a lot more durable, so much easier to clean, the upkeep on a linen sofa is too much to handle, by the time I get done cleaning it, another stain is made! It also shows wear and tear a little too much. Have you thought about having a custom made cover? that way you can get the leather couch and then if you start to reallllly miss that linen put the cover on! I am personally a fan of pure white couches, and the sectional we are looking at is also a dark brown leather. I will be purchasing the sectional and also having a slip cover custom made so when I am feeling a little like I want a different texture for the furniture I can easily just slip that on.

These are the color we are going to choose from. Our living room got one side is all window as shown in the picture. One side has two doors towards kitchen and a small storage room. We would like to put the Sofa in the middle to divide the living room into living area and dining area. Also we would like to paint the wall into a different shades than the rest of the room. Any recommendations?

Hi Dagobert Duck (interesting name), I am assuming that this is a townhouse in Asia, as you mention the dry kitchen and wet kitchen (terms used mostly in Singapore) and also from the visible lift on the plan that you shared. I would definitly advice you to keep the dry kitchen and place the dining table close to the dry kitchen or close to the bay window on the left. The space here is rather large and can easily accommodate a regular 2 metre table with 8 chairs. If you are concerned about the view of dining table as you enter the house, you could always place a round table near the entrance to block off the view. I agree with Elaine about placing the furniture away from walls. Place a bunch of fresh flowers or art/sculpture above the round table like in a hotel entrance. So the the first view you see when you enter the house is the table with flowers. Its difficult to give you any further advice as we have no idea what your final vision of the place is? I am aware of a Singapore e-commerce brand called Bed and Basics and you could consider them if you are looking to have a home enhancement or refurbishment in future! They sell an extensive range of furniture and their products are actually really affordable compared to other brands, hence I would highly recommend them. Some of their sofas are in line with what you are seeking (luxurious), so perhaps you could take a look if you are interested!
