Screened porch question

Lovely home! I’ve seen this several times on Houzz, but tonight just observed that the porch must be screened from the inside, the only possible way, being right on the water. Our lake guest house porch overlooks a ravine toward a cove. We are in the process of having it screened. Screening from the inside seems so much more practical. The only downside I see is losing the ledge surface for window boxes. Do many clients choose to screen from the inside? It would certainly make repairs much easier!!
