An ensuite design dilemma
I always have been a bath lover, however I am unsure if putting a 1500mm freestanding bath at the end of our bed would be a complete tacky, stupid idea?
The only obstacle with it would be weather to continue the tile out from the ensuite, which would essentially make half of the room carpet and half tiles and makes the room look funny.

4 years agoOk so this is the whole room. But I kind of agree with you I think it is going to be tight and it will have to go in front of the balcony doors so it will just look silly ☹️

In fact, our current layout is more or less the same as your plan. Would you have chosen different furniture - a smaller sofa or a different dining table perhaps? Its walls are reinforced and is meant to be a shelter in times of emergency. I bet she/he will say yes to your suggestion since pendant lights can easily be changed. Comments (4)The new look is more white with wooden furniture and straight edges. For living room, clear white table and add more modern modern accessories in metal. The pink needs to be replaced with a brown or a mustard yellow cover(to make it stand out but yet within a warm tone). Beige sofa can have 2 cushions on each corner to neaten up. 4 years agoWithout dimensions, it's a little hard to give accurate advice! For clients who are wanting a bathtub but only have a small space, we would suggest a partial wetroom style bathroom where the bathtub is at the back of the room, the shower beside the bathtub which is then petitioned by a shower screen from the vanity (see image)
If the room you have is not big enough for a partial wetroom design and you really would like a bathtub, then you might need to settle for a shower over the bathtub. With proper drainage and waterproofing you won't even need a shower curtain but you will need to make sure your vanity is positioned far enough away from the shower to not get water spray from the shower.
Another design option would be to have the bath, shower & toilet in the ensuite and the vanity outside the ensuite room in the bedroom.
