White themed bathroom ... How to warm it up?
Comments (8)I really like pale grayish sage with white. Also a cool greenish aqua for a soothing look to the bath. White or gray Corian counter. If it's a low-use bath such as a powder room, white marble would be lovely for the counter. Rug or mat on the floor with a nice pattern to hide spills, dog hair, etc. If you have a window, lovely drapes, custom shade or match-stick blinds would help warm the space. Finally, if you have a bathtub, a custom shower curtain will really dress up the space and add character/warmth. Look at drapes as well as shower curtains on Houzz to get inspiration. https://www.houzz.com/photos/custom-shower-curtain-phbr0lbl-bl~l_43312 Consider the space across from the toilet & hang a piece of art there if possible....See MoreNeed help to update bathroom
Comments (8)if you lighten the cabinets etc, then the stone will appear more prominent. if that is what you want, that is fine. I sensed that you did not like the current counter. I would contact a marble/granite installer to see if they think that the cracks can be filled and polished out. it is pretty common to do this on new installations if it is feasible. they may try to charge you as as much as you would spend on a fabricating a counter out of a new slab if they did not do the original installation....See MoreWhat do you love most about this bathroom?

Comments (4)Hi Rachel, Make a paste of white distilled vinegar and some bi carb soda. Into a deep bowl, add one cup vinegar and slowly stir about a table spoon of bi carb. Add a little of the bi carb as possible into a deeb bowl. The reaction of the two will cause the mixture to foam and thats the reason for the deep bowl. Once the foam settles, apply this paste on to the area concerned and let it sit for an hour or so at least. Use some elbow grease and scrub a little and wash away with clean water. Vinegar is a mild acid which can kill 82% of mold species. (Baking soda is often used along with vinegar for killing different species of mold.) Its natural and as organic as it gets. The smell of vinegar will linger for a while and is normal. Make sure the shower is well ventilated. Hope it helps?...See MoreJE C
