Love the floor tiles. Is it possible to have the name/reference?

This is a really beautiful project. I would love to know the name of the tiles you used (who manufactures them and the reference if possible). I am curious to know what color of green you used to match them on the wall as well. It really looks great!

Cement tiles on the floor – Mocais Del Sur, you can create a color pallete and pattern yourself with this factory

The name of the wall color we can not give you because on the photo it may be different than in reality. So you won't be disapointed)

Ah ok! Thank you kind people I guess the vote goes to tile then. I haven't started but will overlay over the existing tiles. And yes I was referring to walls. I was shown lovely pictures of bathrooms that had painted walls but was adviced against it as a) my bathroom is pretty small and b) those picts were probably of powder rooms. Thanks again

I really like pale grayish sage with white. Also a cool greenish aqua for a soothing look to the bath. White or gray Corian counter. If it's a low-use bath such as a powder room, white marble would be lovely for the counter. Rug or mat on the floor with a nice pattern to hide spills, dog hair, etc. If you have a window, lovely drapes, custom shade or match-stick blinds would help warm the space. Finally, if you have a bathtub, a custom shower curtain will really dress up the space and add character/warmth. Thanks, lefty47. This is an older home, and just as One Plan guessed it is a soil stack from the upstairs bathroom. You are probably right that the cost of a custom solution may outweigh the benefits. Another idea I had, along the lines of the worktop bin suggested by One Plan, is a recessed spatula and long-handled utensil holder. I found out that Lee Valley sells motorized tv lift kits like the one used in the video above. It would be a matter of getting the contractor to build the box to go on the lift. I'm still a bit hung up on the idea, though it probably falls into your cost-outweighs-benefit category! I may bring this photo around with me when interviewing prospective contractors, just to see how they answer!

Hi Mr Martini! Congratulations on the new BTO! Hiring a good interior designer will definitly help with designing your new home. And seeing that you are a family man, I imagine you would want as little hassle as possible. A good interior designer will listen to your ideas of how you want your home to look like, and make it happen as best as possible, taking into consideration your family's lifestyle, HDB limitations on renovation, your budget, etc. While my husband and I did hire an interior designer for our resale flat, I unfortunately will not recommended them for they gave us more headache than I felt necessary for the tiniest of problems. So do ask around and see if anyone can recommend a good interior designer. Back to your love for Scandinavian design! I was going for the Scandinavian style too only to later realise along the design process, that we were not loving the bland colours and minimalism and somehow, we managed to end up with a relaxing resort-themed home which we're loving. In fact, a recent Houzz article tells us that the Scandinavian colour palette is moving away from pale cool shades which I find fun and refreshing.
