How tall and wide

Have backyard fencing. Oaks in on other side of fence and create at least half shade along the area of the yard. Area is lower than the yard and also wetter. Need privacy even with the fence.

Also needing a shade tree for center of the lawn area which is full sun. Would like a tree that provides color during seasons more than 2 weeks as well as shade as this area is hot in summertime.

Hi Fauna,

Thank you for your comment. I will assume that you live in North Texas since that is where our nursery is. For privacy trees in areas that are wet, we unfortunately do not have any recommendations. For a shade tree in the backyard that provides Fall color, I would recommend the Brandywine maple. I cannot say how long it holds that Fall color. Chemicals in the leaves react to color weather and that will determine how strong the Fall color is. I would reupholster the rosewood furniture in natural canvas or a natural linen look . Ask the upholsterer to do the job with NO welting. That will make it look more contemporary. Then stop by West Elm, Pottery Barn, or Crate & Barrel for some brightly colored pillows. I'm thinking coral might work well with your tile, but you be the judge of what color works best with it. For now we'll assume it's coral. So I'd like to see one wall painted coral if you're so inclined. Otherwise, I'd leave the walls white. Next, let's cover some of that tile you don't like. Two choice: 1. A rug you'll take with you. Perhaps a shaggy offwhite one. 2. A rug you'll leave in your rental. This could be a large piece of carpeting, cut and bound like a rug. Measure for size before going to the carpet store. Most carpeting is 12' wide, so figure on making a rug 12 x something so that there is no waste, or you could make a couple of 6 x somethings. If you could change out the rosewood coffee table for another, I think you'd be happier with the furniture. It needs some variety. Even a couple of small tables from IKEA could work for 6 to 8 months.

My walk-in is slightly longer (1.60x3.60m) - I only have the design with measurements on paper, but I could look for it this evening, scan it and post it for you if you want. In the meanwhile, have a look at the photos of the finished room. We took advantage of the height and got pull down rails; also, a big shelf above the door and narrow shelves on the side. Hi Fred, Thanks for the want of the precise measurements. The U shape area in my kitchen is 64" - 104 - 99" (left - centre - right). Height of the kitchen area is 107". The wall with the fridge has total length of 99" Fridge is 32" wide, 29" deep, 73" high (I bought this fridge on a good bargain but realized it was slightly oversized in this kitchen area, but got to live with it now) The wall beside the fridge is 23" deep I know some gap has to be left between this wall, the fridge and the wall mounted/countertop cabinets for ventilation I guess. So I'd say the cabinets on this wall will have a length of only 63"/64"? The microwave is 18.5 wide, 13" deep, 10.5" high The oven is 24" wide, 24" deep, 24" high. The wall next to the fridge which will have this feature cabinet 42" wide, 110" high which is next to the main door. I'm thinking the feature wall is kind of plain, but it covers up where the fridge is sticking out.

Well actually I'm not a fan of wall decals/stickers and sticky hooks don't hold up on concrete walls with a weird paint on them Anyhoo, I only put up original art in the form of painting OR of family/friends portraits. It's been sorted out. But still can't figure out how to delete this post or edit it to no longer relevant, if someone knows lemme know!
