Miele washer and miele dryer
Comments (2)Um, you will have to iron your shirts. For the money, you could buy something cheaper and have your shirts ironed. But-- I have a Miele washer and love it, and will replace it with another. It just washes so much better than others I've used. I put all kinds of dry clean only stuff in there, lots of professional work clothes, Miele takes good care of them. On the other end of the spectrum, clothes-wise: the older model I have heats very high and I used it when my kiddos were in diapers to wash cloth diapers--I would NOT have done that in a lesser machine (especially when my nice clothes were going in there later in the week!). But they came out like new. Super clean every time. Highly recommend....See MoreHow do I view and participate in discussions?

Comments (3)Yes you do have to. You have to put aside budgets for - Furniture (e.g sofas, chairs, tables etc.) - Appliances (stove, hood, hob, oven, refrigerator, fans, washing machine, dryer, TV) - Air-conditioning (installation and the aircon itself) - Soft furnishing (throw pillows, rugs, lamps) - Lighting - Fixtures (tiles, built-in cabinets, built-in wardrobes, false ceiling etc.) - Painting - Interior design and construction fees (if you are hiring someone). In my experience, the fixtures, appliances and furniture adds up to the bulk of the cost. I have a 5-room BTO too, without tiles, and it cost about 30,000++, but only because we did not do false ceilings, and lighting, and spent most of our money on the appliances. We also relied heavily on soft furnishings (rugs) and designerish furniture to liven up our space....See MoreNeed help for kitchen layout please!
Comments (8)Hi Rhonda, i also recently redid my terrace and installed a wet and dry island in my kitchen. As for your floor plan, if you're willing to consider tearing down the maid's room and moving it to the back, it will free up a lot of space for your dry kitchen/dining area. A bit unconventional, but you can also install the island in between the 2 pillars that are in the center. You can then install pot racks or wine glass holders on top of your island. Enjoy the journey and keep calm. :) Charlene More info...See MoreSteve Morrow Kitchens
