You could use the column for something useful like hanging utensils or cooking tools if you have the height or a towel rack or if you want to just hide it you could put fairy lights on/around it to give a homely feel.my personal opinion would be if there is a ledge you should get some vintage alcohol bottles and put them there as decoration and it works nice in most households.if no ledge just get a wine rack and screw it to the column

Before that ask yourself, whether is the house you collecting, is it a standard or Premium flat?. How much Budget are you intending to spend on your house renovation. You have all these answer, I can give you some advise Q1: as for your sofa, how many seater sofa would you be intending to getting for your new house?. Q2: are you okay, if we do a half-wall TV Console?. Q3: How many seater of Dining Table are you intending to be getting & do you want to have excessive walking space around the area?.

Yes the pillar looks nice with beige/soft eg. off white, cream, sandy colour walls definately look better. Adding a dim spot light around cornice brings out the room to more luxurious look. Change the window to wide grills in white and definately cream colour curtains. Good to go

Thanks Sugarbakers, I wanted to know if anyone has experience doing such a job or can recommend someone who has done it for them. Also wanted to find if there was more than one way to achieve the same look - e.g. vinyl tiles, laminates, tiles etc - and their application in both outdoor and indoor areas and the cost per sq ft for the different options. I'm considering installing this on approx 2000+ sq ft ceiling area including outdoor areas. Thanks again for your earlier reply.
