Non-retractable pendant light - would it be too low?
Comments (2)5'2" is 62 inches, and our guide to lighting sizing (http://bit.ly/1cuh1Fj) suggests that 30 to 36 inches above the tabletop (not the floor, however) is a good height if you have 8-foot ceilings. So, depending on the height of your table, everything might be okay!...See MoreHow can I hide an existing column in the kitchen
Comments (5)You could use the column for something useful like hanging utensils or cooking tools if you have the height or a towel rack or if you want to just hide it you could put fairy lights on/around it to give a homely feel.my personal opinion would be if there is a ledge you should get some vintage alcohol bottles and put them there as decoration and it works nice in most households.if no ledge just get a wine rack and screw it to the column...See MoreHeadlights all foggy
Comments (13)I did it! Finally! Having tried toothpaste and @tarotlova's suggestion of a cut & polish paste, I eventually went with @LouieT's idea and found a 3M branded 3-part process involving a power drill to spin a range of circular sandpapers and sponges with a paste applied to the latter. It really did go well, though took at least an hour on each light. It looks like this and cost around $50 Video Instructions where handy too... Comments (6)Thanks for making the time to follow up with my question. I suppose i could have an alternative scheme where the TV is at the bookshelf wall and on the opposite wall to fit a right angle 3+2 seater sofa facing the TV instead. Can i fit in a 1.2m round dining table in that dining space ? There will be custom made fittings e.g. shoe cabinet, tv console, work desk, book/display shelf. May i also check with you on your fees if i do intend to have a fuller drawing plan of the layout and the fittings ? Thank you....See Moremaryrb
