White-on-white interiors are timeless and sophisticated (whatever their style), but can sometimes look flat. Take a page from these projects that show how to avoid that one-dimensional look, and you’ll enjoy the bright and breezy feel of a white space too.
Free Space Intent
1. Light and Scandi-licious in Punggol
The strategic placement of a whitewashed brick feature wall adds texture to this white space. The pale wood furniture almost blends into the white, but add a cool warmth that enlivens this living room instead.
EHKA Studio LLP
2. Sleek and spacious in Duxton
Glossy and reflective surfaces enhance this open-plan living, dining and kitchen space so that it feels bigger than it is. A predominantly white palette gives it a breezy feel.
Architology
3. Pristine kitchen in Serangoon
Curves – from the bar stools and the contemporary chandelier – add visual interest to this white kitchen. Pops of accent colour emphasise the white-brightness of the space.
Arete Culture
4. Keeping it classy in Sentosa
The palest of beiges are layered on a white base so that this living room is a restful, welcoming space loaded with texture.
Design Point Interiors Pte Ltd
5. Arty in Serangoon
A large, super-saturated painting draws the eye to the dining room of this open-plan landed house. White sculptures on the display shelves echo the glossy, curvy shape of the Louis Ghost armchairs.

8. A touch of nostalgia in Hougang
Ventilation (also called besser) blocks used on the headboard add texture and depth to this mostly-white bedroom … this brings a touch of old-school walk-ups where these used to be a central feature.

9. Futuristic on Scotts Road
This study and guest bedroom works well in all white, with its sculptural, sloped shelves and built-in table and hideaway bed.
Audrey Lee Interiors Pte Ltd
10. Old meets new in Buona Vista
Industrial-style stools add vintage charm to this sleek white-and-steel kitchen.
Country Concept Pte Ltd - Singapore
11. Shakin’ it in Hougang
White gives this Shaker-style kitchen a more contemporary and trendy vibe.
A D Lab
12. Tactile in Caldecott
Marble and mosaic tiles (and wood-plank looking floors) contrast with the matt white fixtures of this bathroom.
Architology
13. Edgy in Buona Vista
Whitewashed exposed brick walls and a glossy black door bring visual interest to this small yet functional bathroom.
