In this episode of The Apartment, judge-mentor Tyler Wisler and guest judge, Malaysian fashion and lifestyle photographer Raisa Azzam challenged the contestants to design a lifestyle setting that would fit a home decor magazine and feature the Dulux Colour of the Year for 2019, Spiced Honey.
Given three blank walls in Iskandar Malaysia Studios, the remaining 10 contestants were mixed into new groups to design their home decor magazine settings.

Room at a Glance: Magazine photoshoot setting
Who is it designed for: A couple who are affluent New Yorkers
Designers: Team Seron, comprising Seron, Chantal and Jesus
The trio of Seron, Chantal and Jesus created a lounge setting dripping with opulence and even a little mystique, and accented with sophisticated lashes of Spiced Honey, a rich honey hue with warm and inviting buttery tones of caramel and amber.

Chantal proposed a palette of burgundy with an oxidised metallic blue smoke effect to set the stage for the appearance of Spiced Honey. Seron worked on a marbled art piece using the same burgundy with Spiced Honey.

The team selected lacquered and antique-looking Oriental furnishings, such as the screen and sideboard, to add that opulent touch to the room setting. The furniture’s gold foil details echo the warm glow of Spiced Honey. Brass table and chair details amped up the luxe effect even more.
The lounge and cushions were also selected in similar shades.
The finished room setting so impressed the judges that head judge Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen remarked, “How luxury does this look?”
“This room photographs really well,” guest judge Raisa Azzam added.
At elimination, the head judge noted: “ I think that is one of the most stunning paintwork I’ve ever seen in this show. We loved it.”
