This home sits in a Historic Preservation Overlay Zone, or HPOZ, which is designated by the city as containing architectural, cultural or aesthetic significance. Our biggest challenge was updating this home to meet our client’s modern taste, while working within the city guidelines. With historical features intact, we gave the exterior a facelift, remodeled the fireplace, sitting room, dining area, master bedroom, master bathroom, dining room, porch, and finished garage. New paint, flooring, and a few small floor plan changes went a long way. And modern light fixtures, finishes, and furnishing truly brought this home back to life!
