In the heart of South West London this contemporary property had a full re-fit installing a range of bespoke concrete work to complement various spaces around the house. The kitchen features a custom island, worktop and matching splash-back. The handleless white units with brass detailing and matching Vola Taps/Accessories are complemented by the striking colour and thickness of our polished concrete. Continuing through to the living room, there is a bespoke fire hearth and shelf counter spanning over five meters in length. Manufactured in two pieces this concrete counter enhances the feature wall with its overwhelming presence. Matching units and brass detailing combined with the same concrete thickness compliment the kitchen and keep a sense of fluidity throughout the property. Following the brass detailing motif to the bathroom, we installed a white ‘Kern’ Kast Concrete Basin and matching bespoke shelf. The stunning combination of colours creates a bright, freshly modern space, perfect for a modern but classic bathroom.

The combination of white gloss units against vibrant red glass bring this space to life whilst the tones of the french grey quartz worktop are reflected in the Rondine Silver floor tiles and stainless steel accents found throughout the kitchen. Clean lines, distinct design, lighting, clever storage and carefully selected appliances combine to create a kitchen which is light, bright and open, delivering functionality encased in style. Several elements have been used to open up this kitchen including the use of reflective surfaces, under and in cabinet lighting along with reduced height wall units with folding lift-up doors above the sink and hob combined with an equipment bar to keep utensils to hand and work top clutter free. Within the kitchen there is a single oven and induction hob along with fully integrated dishwasher, washing machine and cooker hood. A white Franke Belfast undermounted sink maintains the clean lines of this design whilst a Franke Atlas Stainless Steel Tap adds to the stainless steel accents of this kitchen perfectly.

Can't really give a name to this space. Sometimes it's a kitchen, sometimes a study, sometimes a dining room. The bathroom beyond is separated by a flush-mounted cavity slider. Windows and clear sight-lines have been carefully arranged to ensure views to the outside at all times. This helps to open up the space. It's about 2.3m wide inside but it feels like more than that to us. The position of the deck (left side) and garden (right side) help create a strong connection to the outside.

Paper House ProjectPaper House Project
Set within the Carlton Square Conservation Area in East London, this two-storey end of terrace period property suffered from a lack of natural light, low ceiling heights and a disconnection to the garden at the rear. The clients preference for an industrial aesthetic along with an assortment of antique fixtures and fittings acquired over many years were an integral factor whilst forming the brief. Steel windows and polished concrete feature heavily, allowing the enlarged living area to be visually connected to the garden with internal floor finishes continuing externally. Floor to ceiling glazing combined with large skylights help define areas for cooking, eating and reading whilst maintaining a flexible open plan space. This simple yet detailed project located within a prominent Conservation Area required a considered design approach, with a reduced palette of materials carefully selected in response to the existing building and it’s context.
