Before laying the new wooden floor, some old sub floors may need major or minor repairs. We provided a full assessment of the work needed to ensure a perfect working surface for the later stages. We examined all the boards, fixing any that where loose. Old tacks and nails where removed, while protruding nails where hammered flat. All damaged boards beyond minor repair was replaced using timber of the same quality wherever possible. On the top floor,cheapboards was removed and replaced by 18mm plywood shets,to avoid squicky noise,that where there before Staircaice repaired,where wood glue and screw was used to make stairs staible,solid and remove squicky noise. 5mm sound proof underlay was used.

This beautifully sculptured double flight helical staircase, designed and manufactured by Elite Metalcraft, has the hallmark of dedicated craftsmanship in metalwork and innovative design. It enhances the visual harmony of the stained glass windows with the hand crafted metalwork. Ground to first floor 4100mm, First to second floor 2950mm balustrade was laser cut steel and polished prior to chemical patination process. All exposed steel in Gun Metal finish.
