The sunken terrace offers a quiet space and shelter from the mid day sun- a cool calming space.

A small garden space has been transformed into a romantic rose garden with cottage style perennials. A pocket handkerchief lawn features a vintage wrought iron garden seat, flanked by wrought iron obelisks which feature climbing roses and old fashioned sweet peas. Stepping stones lead their way into each border so the roses and perennials can be enjoyed close up. Box hedging keep the edges neat and the plants contained. Across a small pebble path, a third border provides more space for larger perennials and a tree hung with bird feeders invites wild birds into the garden. Although the focus for summer is on roses, dahlias are a feature of late summer with a multitude of flowering bulbs in the spring. In winter the garden holds its form through the hedging and topiary plants, including dwarf standard stone fruit trees and pittosporum balls.

With a family grown up it was time to convert this lovely space into a garden for the adults and to encourage the owners growing love of gardening itself.
We altered the raised patio to introduce planting on two levels and so to make this dining area feels more integrated into the garden.
A curved paver path leads you on a journey through densely planted areas to a circular sitting area. This place to pause gives you a co,mmpletely different view of the garden and is the perfect place for a morning coffee or evening G&T.
The curved path continues to the outdoor room and shed at the bottom of the garden. We planted all areas of the garden to add interest and colour throughout all seasons. Beautiful Liquidamber styraciflua were planted to add height and privacy at the end of the garden and these, along with multistemmed Parrotia persica and Amelanchier lamarckii will give this garden the most beautiful Autumn colour.

This grade 2 listed home has been given a front garden with Gertrude Jekyll roses and Lutyens inspired bench, arbour and obelisks.
Classic twists are evident in this large front garden in Sevenoaks, we have repeated the same colour 'theresa's green' a farrow and ball colour throughout. Obelisks, arches, a Lutyens bench and arbour have been placed in this garden. We have used 'old style' stock bricks for border edges, defining the driveway and elevated brick platforms with statement pots. The drive is finished with a modern resin bound gravel.

Entertaining courtyard, a private space to relax with a sunny aspect. With water tank, kitchen area, patio deck and undercover
